乌拉圭甲级联赛分春季联赛及秋季联赛。秋季联赛共有16支球队参加。在今年8月份举行的14-15赛季中，该联赛推出了自己的形象标志，新标志将被统一用于未来比赛中。标志由5个字母“U”组成五角星图案。色彩则使用了乌拉圭国旗中的蓝色和黄色。新标志由当地一家名为Kairos Cronos diseño的公司负责设计。
